Graveside service for Richard E. Kinnan, 89, of Decatur will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Dr. Cameron Douglas and the Rev. Carol Hallman officiating and Ridout's BrownService Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Kinnan, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at his residence, was born June 2, 1918, in Detiance, Ohio, to Allie and Pauline Graham Kinnan. He was a veteran of WorldWar II, serving in the U.S.Air Force. He was a mechanic and supervisor with Eastern Airlines for 35 years inMiami, Fla. Mr. Kinnan was active in the Christian church, Disciples of Christ in Florida and a member of First Christian Church, where he served as an elder. His wife of 61 years, Mildred Hanigan Kinnan, preceded him in death. Survivors include one brother, Bernard Kinnan, and his wife, Margaret, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister-inlaw, Marjorie Thrasher of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be madeto First Christian ChurchBuilding Fund, 1701 Carridale St., Decatur, AL 35601. Pallbearers will be Bobby Reeves, Steve Reeves, Greg Reeves, Tom Lance and Bob Clayton.
