R.L. McCulloch Decatur
Funeral for R.L. McCulloch, 91, of Decatur will be today, May 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Nail officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. McCulloch, who died Friday, May 27, 2011, at his residence, was born May 3, 1920, in Morgan County to Richard and Louise McCulloch. Mr. McCulloch served in World War II, was retired from Monsanto and was the owner of Woodall BBQ. He was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church. He was also a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 29, the Cahaba Shrine Temple and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters. His son, James Leonard McCulloch; and his wife, Evelyn Woodall McCulloch, preceded him in death.
Survivors include one grandson, Richie McCulloch; great-grandson, Adam McCulloch; foster son, Charles Morris; and daughter-in-law, Patty Dietz.
The family request donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
