Richard Moye, 61, died March 12, 2019, with his family at his side in Rogersville, Alabama after a battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at Elkins East Chapel Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 12 PM in the chapel.  Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 PM.

Rick was born in Memphis, TN to Herman and Anita Moye.  Rick served in the US Navy from 1979 to 1985 as a First Class Electronics Technician on the USS Pogy.  Rick and Marianne met while serving in the Navy at Mare Island, CA in 1982, they married in 1984 and moved to Rogersville, AL in 1992.  Rick worked for 20 plus years at TVA.  Rick's hobbies included woodcarving, woodworking, and fishing.  He enjoyed spending time with family and making everyone laugh.

Rick is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marianne Moye; children, Charles Moye (Samantha), Pamela Hogue (Matthew), and Brian Moye; 7 grandchildren; sister, Robin Earby (Chip); brother, Jerry Moye (Annette).

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Moye.
