Funeral for Robert L. Cannon, 87, from Town Creek, will be Friday, March 1st at 11:00 AM at Elliott Funeral Home, with Bro Nelson Tucker and Bro Hollis Retherford officiating.
Burial will be at Blackground Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday night from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Cannon, who died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, was born in Oklahoma to Florence Maudell Burge and Robert Lemuel Cannon. He was a member of Betheny Baptist Church, a WWII Vet, a Mason and a member of VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera B. Cannon and son Ray Lee Cannon.
Survivors include eight children; R. J. Cannon (Vera Mae), Leon Cannon (Fran), Linda Cobbs (Glen), Barbara Sue Wiley (Late Gerald), Carl Cannon, Jerry Cannon (Suzanne), Jimmy Cannon, Dennis Cannon and 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
