Robert Cecil Howard of Florence, age 82, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. Visitation will be 12-1pm at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence with the funeral at 1pm at Elkins with Brother John Bradshaw and Brother Scotty Sparks officiating. Internment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie S. Howard, his father, Hosea B. Howard, his mother Ester Mae Howard and Sister, Velma Sparks. Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Howard; step-sons Patrick and Roger House; brothers, Thurman Howard (Helen) and John Elton Howard. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was retired as a maintenance man for the IBEW Local. He was a strong Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan.
