Robert Morrison Cooper age 77 of Florence passed away on Saturday June 28, 2014. There will be no public visitation. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 1, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with David Gregg officiating. Elkins Funeral Home of Florence in charge.

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, John Larkin and Edna Pearl Cooper. One sister, Mildred Martin and two brothers, David W. Cooper and John "Johnny" T. Cooper.

Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maelene Cooper. One son; Randell Lesley Cooper and wife Lynn of Guntersville, Al. One daughter; Sheri Michelle Eagerton and husband Mark of Florence, Al. Three Grandchildren; Michael Lesley Cooper of Guntersville, Al, Brooke Nicole Cooper of Guntersville, Al and Jessica LeAnn Eagerton of Florence, AL. Two sister; Eunice Norman of Akron, OH, and Barbara Hale of Athens, Al. One brother; James H. Cooper of Florida. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert enjoyed gardening and telling people how to do things his way. He was a retired machinist with TVA. He always said 3:30pm was quitting time and he didn''t get paid overtime and he left this world at 3:15pm. He was a loving husband, father, brother and the best Paw Paw we could ever have.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center staff, ECM Ambulatory Surgery receptionists and infusion, Hospice of North Alabama and his friends with TVA.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
