Funeral for Robert D. Jackson, 61, of Decatur will be Friday, May 15, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Odom officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Jackson, who died Monday, May 11, 2009, in Decatur, was born Aug. 10, 1947, in Morgan County to Ralph O. and Florine Jackson. Robert was an inspiration to all who knew him and was a friend to everyone. He was a longtime radio personality in Decatur. He worked for many years at WDRM and WHOS. Music was his life. He is survived by his special friends, Penny Sparks and Glenn and Judy Sparks. Pallbearers will be Dan McClain, Jerral Miller, Roddy Taylor, Rice Towry, Glenn Sparks and Marlon Clemons.
