Mr. Robert Edison Dooley, 78, of Center Star, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at his home following a lengthy illness.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with David Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Dooley was preceded in death by his parents Robert Hudson Dooley and Wilma Mae Gray. He was a very talented musician and especially liked the fiddle.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Long and husband James, Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Sheri L. Touhey, Miamisburg, Ohio, James M. Wheeler, III, Dayton, Ohio, and Carrie D. Cobb and husband Josh, Dayton, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a dear friend Jean Futrell.
Pallbearers will be James Long, James Wheeler, Tim Gray, Mark Gray, Mike Williams, Greg Waits, Keith Williams and Sam Campbell.
