Funeral for Robert L. Garnett, 73, of Decatur will be Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bishop Jay Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mr. Garnett, who died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation, was born June 17, 1935, in Sheffield to T.N. and Winnie Garnett. He was the owner of Decatur Trading Post. He was a past member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the Decatur Bass Club. Survivors include two daughters, Angela Garnett and Barbara Morris and her husband, Joe; one son, Robert Garnett; one sister, Marguerite Garnett Appleton; one brother, Jerry Garnett; and three grandchildren.
