Robert Thurston Hodges, 70, of Rogersville died Monday, February 13, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Elkins East Chapel 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 11 AM at Elkins East Chapel, with Bro. Tommy Ruple officiating. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery. Mr. Hodges was retired from TVA as a Truck Driver and was the son of the owner of Hodges Bike Shop. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Stella Hodges and Claude and Ethel Morrison; parents, Rufus T. Hodges and Eva Hodges; granddaughter, Sara K. Barringer; son, Thurston Ray Hodges. Mr. Hodges is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Keenum and Lisa Cole; son, Robbie Neal; two step-sons, Jimmy Bailies and Jimmy Peden; two sisters, Linda Parker and Tricia Wilkinson; four brothers, Ray Hodges, David Hodges, Lonnie Hodges, and Derrial Hodges; six grandchildren, Kelli Barringer, Kayla Keenum, Zachary Hodges, Emily Hodges, Sawyer Cole, and Zane Cole; two great-grandchildren, Emma Kathrine Scott and Zayda Knalls. Pallbearers will be Roger Logston, Johnny Keenum, Ray Hodges, Jimmy Peden, and Ricky Foust. The family would like to thank Dr. Morris, Dr. Holden, Dr. Patel, and Amedisys Hospice, Leigh, Crystal, and Dena.
