With open arms Jesus has welcomed his good and faithful servant, Robert J. Lewis (Jack) on January 22, 2021. The oldest son of Daniel and Grace Lewis, Jack was born on May 1, 1932 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He graduated from Gaylord High School and proudly served in the Korean War. He married Peggy J. MacKenzie on November 7, 1952 and she preceded him death on April 10, 1991. On May 1, 1993 he married Margaret Curriston and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2019.
Jack was a business man and Friend of the Court in Gaylord, Michigan until his retirement. He spent the majority of his retirement years in Florence, Alabama where he proudly remained in his own home. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Florence.
Besides his parents and wives, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Scott, his sister-in-law, Virgie and nieces, Linda Grace and Tiffany. He is survived by his brother Dan of Michigan, his sister-in-law, Gina of Franklin, Tennessee and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins from the Montgomery clan.
Also remaining to honor his values of love, faith and hard work are his two children: His daughter, Beth who lives in Madison, Wisconsin. His son and daughter-in-love, Bret and Rebecca, and grandsons Ben and Sam all of Grand Haven, Michigan.
Rather than a memorial service, our dad and grandfather would prefer that you toasted his memory with a Scotch or beverage of your choice.
