Mr. Robert E. McIntyre, 87, o f Muscle Shoals, passed away at his home on March 5, 2011. Bob served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and graduated from the University of Alabama where he proudly played the trumpet in the Million Dollar Band.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lee McIntyre; a son Michael Edward McIntyre and wife Jerolyn; grandchildren Michael Edward McIntyre, Jr, Emily Sgarlat, Brian Smith and Kevin Smith. Another son Stephen Stewart McIntyre preceded Robert in Death.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife , the mother of his children , Lois Carmen "Hunt" McIntyre, and after her death ,his second wife Mary "Martin" McIntyre. There will be a memorial service held in Texas for him at a later time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Tennessee Valley. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
