Robert Lindon Stanley, Jr., 73, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Elkins East Chapel from 1-2:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with William Newman officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stanley was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and the National Guard, having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary Lou Stanley; daughters, Angela J. Roberson, Veronica L. Dabbs, and Natalie L. Dabbs (Roger); son, Jerry M. Jones (Wendy); nine grandchildren, Christy N. Odem, Chassity D. Smith, Monica L. Burns, Tia L. Smith, April L. Smith, Brittany G. Ray, Jessica A. Mears, Chad L. Jones and Brad L. Jones; 9 great-grandchildren; five nieces and three nephews.
Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Stanley; and brothers, Hollis Dixon, Gary Stanley and Roger Stanley.
