Rodney L. Springer's Obituary
Rodney L. Springer, 74, of Florence passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Elkins Funeral Home from 1-3 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM in the Chapel with Dr. John Brock officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Springer was a 1958 graduate of Rogers High School. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his Goldwing and a was a member of Chapter K GWRRA. Mr. Springer retired as a truck driver after 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tad and Euna Belle Springer.
Mr. Springer is survived by his wife of 56 years Janice Springer; daughter Donesia; two sons Roddy and Chris (Rhonda) Springer; two brothers Greg (Brenda) and Barry (Carlotta) Springer; seven grandchildren Adam (Ashlee), Amber (Chris), Morgan (Brennen), Addison (Ken), Kasie (Samuel), Kayla, and Dre''; five great-grandchildren; special pet Smokee.
Pallbearers will be Farris Frederick, Dre'' Rickard, Chris Pinter, Samuel Laster, Andrew Springer, Chad Springer, Adam Springer, and Brennen Auerbach. Honorary pallbearers will be Chapter K GWRRA.
The family would like to express their thanks to ICU nurses at ECM Hospital and Dr. Morris.
