Roger 'Buddy' Sanders Decatur
Memorial visitation for Roger "Buddy" Sanders, 60, of Decatur will be Sunday, January 16, 2011, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Sanders, who died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at his residence, was born January 21, 1950, in Lawrence County to Bill and Ann Sanders. Buddy was a Vietnam veteran in the Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged on September 11, 1970. There he mastered his trade of carpentry. Buddy worked all over the Decatur area building houses and doing home repair for himself and contractors of the home building market. Buddy loved his family deeply, especially his children that would let him get close to them. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, when he could. Buddy loved all little ones, and they loved him as well. You will be missed by all, and we all love you and miss you. He is survived by two daughters, Natasha Sanders and Rebecca Rogers; three grandchildren, Savannah Leigh Campbell, Kathryn Grace Rogers and Garrett Ray Rogers; one sister, Brenda Eubanks (Arnold Eubanks); and brother, Johnny Sanders (Barbra Sanders). He is preceded in Heaven by his mother, Ann Sanders; father, Ossie Bill Sanders; brother, Tommy "Tut" Sanders. Also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Semper Fi John 14:1-4
