Obituary

Mr. Ronald C Middlebrooks, 85, of Anderson was born January 1, 1925, and died July 13, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mildred McGraw Middlebrooks, his parents; Clarence and Roxie Middlebrooks, brothers; W.C. and Dwight Middlebrooks, and by his sisters; Nella Echols and Onita Harris.
Mr. Middlebrooks was a member of Bethel Baptist church where he served as deacon for many years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Anderson and a Shriner. Mr. Middlebrooks was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean conflict, having served in the U.S. Army and Navy. He was retired from air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance.
He is survived by his son: Coy Middlebrooks of Anderson, daughters: Linda Middlebrooks of New Orleans, LA, and Eugenia Ridinger of Anderson. Four grandchildren: Chris Middlebrooks of Decatur, Andra Hubbard and husband Kevin of Macon, GA, Derek Middlebrooks of Decatur and Adam Ridinger of Florence. Brothers: Bryce Middlebrooks and wife Myra of Albertville, Royce Middlebrooks and wife Peggy of Guntersville. Sister: Joyce Stutts and husband James of Priceville. Brother-in-law: Usery Harris of Decatur, sister-in-law: Julie Middlebrooks of Guntersville.
Visitation will be Saturday July 17, 2010 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Bethel Baptist church of Anderson. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM with the reverends James Warren and Bill Barlow officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers and honorary bearers will include: Chuck Marshall, Roger Freeman, Neal Lemay, Ronnie Matthew, Alan Jaynes, Colby Handley, Nick Jaynes and Tim Shelton.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the caring staff of El Reposo for their loving care of both our father and our mother.
