Royce Clifton Maner Decatur Royce Clifton Maner of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the age of 90, at Decatur Health and Rehab. He was born October 27, 1921, in Limestone County to Onie and Ola Maner. He was a Veteran of World War II serving on the 561st Field Artillery Battalion and was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Christine Maner; one brother, Leon Maner. He is survived by two sisters, Clera Wells of Kennesaw, GA and Sybel Keith of Bessemer; son, Royce Maner of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Phyllis Buchman and husband Norman of Trinity; grandchildren, Alan Maner and wife, Deidra of Dallas, TX, Robert Maner of Phoenix, AZ, Tracy Russell and husband, Jeremy of Decatur, and Matthew Buchman and wife, Mary of Manchester, TN; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8, family visitation will be one hour prior. Funeral will be Monday, October 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Ben Hayes officiating. The family expresses gratitude to Peggy Hill, longtime caregiver and friend; Teresa and Brett Atwood; and Hospice of the Valley.
