Obituary for Rube Wade
Rube Wade, age 93 of Florence, passed away on Friday August 01, 2008.
A service will be held on Monday August 4, 2008 at 1 pm at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. With Bro. Sam Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities. A visitation will be Sunday August 3, 2008 from 6-8.
Mr. Wade is preceded in death by his parents, George and Suzie Wade; Wife of 68 years Imogene Wade, son, Bobby Wade, grandsons, Paul Wade and Jason Myrick.
Mr. Wade was a veteran of WWII. He was a talented carpenter; Mr. Wade was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra Myrick (Jimmy), son, George Wade (Pamela), sisters, Mallory Gilmore, Eunice Simmons, Gloria Hammond, brother Billy Wade, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Hollis, Regina Davis, Elsie Staggs and Laina Myrick.
