Funeral service for Rubert Montgomery Jr., 86, of Moulton will be today, Oct. 6, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Agee and Bro. Neil Carter officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Montgomery, who died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Lawrence County to Rubert Montgomery Sr. and Bertha Eliza Aldridge Montgomery. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Moulton Civitan Club. He is survived by his special friend, Brenda Grimmett; his caregivers, Kari and Merlene; numerous cousins and extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Tony Myers, Joey Schuman, Ned Stephenson, Dickie Gonzales, Mark Montgomery and Mike Heflin.
