Mrs. Ruby Cook, age 89 of Florida, passed away on December 13, 2023 at Vitas Hospice facility in Florida. Services will be held on Sunday, December 17th at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel in Florence beginning at 2. Visitation will begin at 1. Elkins Funeral Home in Florence is assisting the family.

Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her parents, Otto Mitchell and Letha Mae Chaney; and brothers, Rayburn and Alton Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Singletary; daughters, Durendia Sue West and Margie Kay Isbell (Alvin); grandchildren, Jerry West, Kimberly Davis, Tracy Isbell, Jason Isbell, and Alissa Joyner; 7 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
