Ruby Elizabeth Gray Newton's Obituary
Ruby Elizabeth Gray Newton, age 82, of Rogersville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be on Thursday August 20, 2009 at 2 pm at Hurricane Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Jimmy Cox officiating. Mrs. Newton will lie in state from 1 pm until funeral time at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at Elkins East Chapel on Wednesday August 19, 2009 from 6 pm until 8 pm.
Mrs. Newton is preceded in death by her parents Roland E. Gray and Lizzie Mae Dison.
Mrs. Newton is survived by her husband, Noble J. Newton; her daughters, Judy Newton, and Margaret L. Hammond and husband Leonard; her sons, Ronnie Gene Newton and wife Gale, Phillip E. Newton and wife Lisa, Timothy P. Newton and wife Marcia, and Douglas A. Newton and wife Pam; her brothers, Clifton Gray and Larry Dickson; 14 Grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Newton''s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
