Funeral services for Ruby Williams Smith, 95, of Florence, former resident of Moulton will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1:00PM at Elliott Funeral Home in Moulton with Dr. David McKelvey officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens Visitation will be from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence. She was born August 11, 1912 in Franklin County, Alabama to Mary and Walter Williams. She was the widow of the late Franklin Smith, former Sheriff of Lawrence County. She was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Smith; two sisters, Orbon Birdyshaw and Inelda McClain; two brothers, Lowell and Luther Williams. She had served as a volunteer missionary with "Laymen Unlimited" helping build churches in Tequiagalpa, Honduras and China, Mexico. She is survived by one son, Jack D. Smith and wife Martha Smith of Auburn and Patsy S. Terry and husband Wycoff of Moulton; one sister, Alyene Creel and husband Leo of Huntsville; three grandchildren, Mike Smith and wife Lynn, Todd Terry and Suzanne Cunningham and husband Jim; four great grandchildren,Reagan, Ruby, Claire& Maggie. Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Todd Terry, Jim unningham, Joe Creel, Doug Birdyshaw and Donald Sibley.
