Ruby White, 94, of Florence died Friday, June 8, 2012, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2012, from 12:30-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2PM in the Chapel with Bro. Kelby Smith officiating and grandsons, Jeff and Chris White assisting. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Mrs. White was born August 24, 1917 on Possum Creek in Lauderdale County, AL. Her family moved to Florence in 1955. She worked at ECM Hospital for 25 years and retired as an LPN in 1991. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, she was voted Ms Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home in 2009. Ms Ruby loved being a beauty queen. She had a positive attitude and it was her trademark," no complaining, no whining". She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rebecca Anna Stewart; husband, Audie; son, Kyle Conrad; great grandson, Kyle Conrad III; great granddaughter, Lindsey Nicole; brother, Duncan Stewart; sisters, Susie Killen, Effie Perry, Eula Hill, Omia McGee, and Virlee Johnson. She is survived by her son, Edwin and wife Linda; grandchildren, Bill (Sallie), Jeff (Cindy), Chris (Laura), Blair (Cheron), and K. C. (Aime); great grandchildren, Andrew, Conner, Stephanie, Ellie, Walker, Sarah, Emily, Luke, Spencer, Kody, and Kylee; great-great grandson, Kyle Conrad IV. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bill, Jeff, Chris, and Blair White and great grandsons, Andrew and Conner White. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home, whose love and exceptional care has been a true blessing.
