Funeral for Rufus E. Allen, 96, of Decatur will be Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Allen, who died Monday, March 10, 2008, was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Limestone County. He was retired from the City of Decatur with over 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church. His wife, Juanita Allen; and son, James R. Allen, preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Fletcher of Huntsville; daughter-in-law, Katie Allen of Decatur; four grandchildren, Jim Allen, Kim Narmore, Tim Allen and Emily Springer; and seven great
