Ruth C. Elmore
Decatur Graveside service for Ruth C. Elmore, 95, from Decatur will be on Thursday at 12:00 noon at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama with Alan Watkins officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service directing. The visitation will be on Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a..m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elmore who died on Sunday Sept. 17, 2017 at her residence, was born on July 28, 1922 in Elkmont, Alabama to Ellis Clem and Ovie Thomas Johnson.
She was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ and was preceded in death by 3 sons; Gary Elmore, Gerald Elmore and Larry Elmore and her husband of 49 years, Leslie Ernest Elmore.
She is survived by her two sons; Gregory L. Elmore and Bradley W. Elmore and wife Linda, daughter; Donna R. Bagar and husband Walter, five grandchlidren and seven great-grandchildren.
