Ruth Robertson Marks, 87, beloved mother and sister, a long time resident of Florence, Alabama, passed away February 24, 2018.

Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Marks, parents, Della and Jesse Robertson, and siblings, Bertie Robertson Allen, Arvil Robertson, Otis Robertson, Wanda Robertson, and Floyd Robertson.

Mrs. Marks is survived by her children, Michael Edward Marks, MD, PhD, Paula Marks White, MBA and husband, John DDS, and Pamela Ruth Marks, JD, and brother, Bobby Robertson and wife, Rose, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Marks was an active member of North Wood United Methodist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class, and United Methodist Women.  She was a volunteer with LifeWise at ECM Hospital and a poll worker for numerous elections.  Mrs. Marks was a graduate of Lexington High School.  She retired from SunTrust Bank.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, and until recently, traveling.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 12-1 PM at North Wood United Methodist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Scott Coats officiating.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.  Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
