Ruth Smith age 78 of Florence, passed on March 5, 2012. Visitation will be private for family, with Graveside Services at 1pm Friday March 9th at Pisgah Cemetery with Joe Vandyke and Dr. Foster Eich officiating. Pallbearers will be John Swinea, Brian Swinea, Justin Swinea, Gerald Standfield, Martin Dean and Vic Soler. Honorary Pallbearers are Specialist Dannon Smith, serving in Afghanistan and Petty Officer Cody Ringelstein, serving in Japan. Annie was survived by her husband of 60yrs, Lovic Culver Smith. One Son, Dennis Smith and wife Brenda. One Daughter, Susan Smith. One Brother, Earnest C. Hale. Six Grandchildren, John, Brian, and Justin Swinea, Cody Ringelstein, Noelle Eshee and Dannon Smith. Seven Great Grandchildren, Payton, Madeline, Michael, and Marshall Swinea, Westley Hayes, Lilly-Ann Hayes and Zoye Eshee. Mrs. Smith was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ and was a pediatric nurse for a number of years for Dr. Foster Eich.
