Mr. Samuel Henry Comperchio, 72, of Killen, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010. His family will receive friends at Elkins East Chapel, Sunday, October 24, from 2-4pm. A funeral mass will be held Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 12pm with Father Andy Sullivan officiating.
Mr. Comperchio served in the Marine Corp for six years, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. He worked for Midwest Paper for some time and has been retired from International Paper Company for ten years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Rose Comperchio; and a brother, Joseph Comperchio.
He is survived by his wife, Sheilah White Comperchio; children, Ken Comperchio, Christopher Comperchio, Sheri Lancaster, David Comperchio, Dominic Comperchio, and Julie Schwab; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Comperchio, and Andy Comperchio; and a sister, Carol DeNicola.
