Sandra Jean Sharp,76, of Decatur passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 6th; The family will have a visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ridout's Brown Funeral Home. A service will be held on Thursday at 1:00PM at Sixth Avenue Church of God and burial at Roselawn Cemetery with Elder Grant Miller officiating.

Mrs. Sharp was born in Boise, ID on September 14, 1944 to James Ottis Phillips and Laura Mae Phillips. She was a lifetime member of Sixth Avenue Church of God where she loved to sing. She was retired from General Electric. She had a huge sweet tooth and always had candy sitting around the house.

She was a special Mother, Gran, Mother-in-law and friend to many. She was loved dearly and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Johnny Barnett Sharp and brother Kenneth Phillips.

She is survived by her sons Johnny Kent Sharp and wife Julie, Markham LaDon Sharp and wife Sheryl. Her daughter Kasa Monique Speegle and husband Brian. And seven grandchildren: Ethan, Haleigh, Anna, Morgan, Jordan, Bethany and Larson.
