Sarah Margaret Dolan, 91, of Florence passed away March 26, 2014, at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Elkins Funeral Home from 12-2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Chuck Canterbury officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Dolan was a member of St. James United Methodist Church for 70 years. She was a member of Keenage Sunday School Class.

Margaret was born on January 26, 1923 in Jackson TN. She was the daughter of a Methodist minister and called several places home. On November 24, 1940 she married Walter James Dolan. She retired from the Florence City School system after 35 years. She was a kind, loving and giving person who will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Dolan was preceded in death by her husband Walter Dolan; parents Humbert and Rosa Weir; brothers Marvin Weir and Jiggs Weir; granddaughter Eva Lane Poland.

Mrs. Dolan is survived by her two daughters Wanda Sue Poland and Lynn Gist (David); two sons Bobby J. Dolan (Direnda) and Harold W. Dolan (Myra); eleven grandchildren Bobby Dolan, Jr. (Lori), Bryan Dolan (Lisa), David Dolan (Denise), Jayme Dolan, Dannette McCravy, Sandra Yadon (James), Tony Poland (Kris), Tim Poland (Laura), Susan Nicholson (Wes), Jordan Gist (Olivia), and Brittany Gist (Matt); twenty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Bobby Dolan, Jr., Bryan Dolan, David Dolan, Jayme Dolan, Tony Poland, Tim Poland, and Jordan Gist.

The family would like to express their thanks to Thelma Turner and Dr. Lyman Mitchell. Also a special thanks to friends and family for their kindness, thoughts and prayers.
