OBITUARY EVELYN EZELL
Mrs. Sarah Evelyn Ezell, age 77, of Rogersville, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Steve Klein officiating. Burial will follow in the Civitan Cemetery. Mrs. Ezell and her husband Buck owned and operated Ezell''s Fish Market in Rogersville for 33 years and later she was an employee at Barnett Drugs. She was a faithful member of New Georgia Church of Christ. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed drives through Joe Wheeler to observe the wildlife. She is survived by children David Ezell and wife Janice of Rogersville, Pam Patterson and husband Ricky of Anderson and Willene Jones and husband Mike of Rogersville; grandchildren Amanda Adams and husband Norman, Jessica Ritter and husband Jeremy, Kevin Jones and wife Jasmine, Daniel Ezell and wife Heather, all of Rogersville; great-grandchildren, Pamela, Will and Nathan Adams, Alexandria and Curtis Ritter, and Carson Jones; sisters Mary McMunn of Missouri and Mattie Casteel and husband Buddy of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Mrs. Ezell was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Willie D. "Buck" Ezell, infant grandson Ricky Allan Patterson, Jr., parents Samuel W. and Ora Lee Adams; brothers George James Adams, Ossie Garland Adams, Sam W. Adams, and James Bragg Adams; sisters Edna Alberta Shelton, Mary Eleanor Odell and Vona D. Adams. Pallbearers will be Grandsons Kevin Jones, Daniel Ezell, Norman Adams and Jeremy Ritter, and nephews Alan Davis and Kenneth Black. The family would like to thank Shauna Thomason and Vanessa McDaniel of Alacare, the nurses at ECM Hospital, Dr. Felix Morris, Dr. Edsel Holden and Dr. Robert Webb. Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
