Sarah Elizabeth Buck Gilley, 96, of Decatur passed away Thursday September 13, 2012. Visitation will be Sunday September 16, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Gilley was born February 6, 1916, to C.L. and Elizabeth Buck. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Gilley. She was a faithful member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur. Survivors include three children, George Gilley and wife, Pat, Rick Gilley and wife, Nancy, and Martha Gilley; grandchildren, Sandi Lawson, Amanda Haun, William, Rebekah, David, Leah, Jonathan, Joseph, Benjamin and Joshua Gilley; and great-grandchildren, Andy, Max and Emma Lawson, Nathan, Aiden and Spencer Haun and Mariana Gilley. Our family would like to thank the caretakers of the Solona wing at the River City Nursing Center in Decatur for the loving care given during Mrs. Gilley's stay with them.
