Sarah Erwin Grubbs, Huntsville
Sarah Erwin Grubbs, 92, of Huntsville, (formerly Decatur), died August 22, 2012. Born in 1920 in Selmer, Tn. Sarah lived numerous places before settling in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Grubbs, parents O.V. and Maude Erwin, and brother O.V. Erwin Jr. She is survived by four children: Vanessa Roper (Randy), Mary Regal, Kelly Grubbs (Cindy) and Marisa Myers. She also has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, (801 Jackson St. Decatur, AL 35601) with Dr. John Skelly officiating. Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Directing. She will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Family Care, 3304 West Mill Dr., Huntsville, AL 35805. A special thank you to Kathy Plexico and all other friends and family who helped during the last months of her life.
