Sarah R. Staggs Hollowell, age 82 of Florence, passed away on Saturday August 16, 2008.
Sarah''s visitation will be Monday evening August 18, 2008 from 5-7 at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. Service will follow at 7 pm in Chapel with Dr. Lee Allison officiating. A graveside service will be Tuesday morning at 10 am at Greenview cemetery.
Ms. Hollowell is preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Mary Ramsey; husbands Horace Staggs Jr and Hugh Hollowell, Sister Elizabeth Ramsey.
Ms. Hollowell was a faithful and lifelong member of the First Church of The Nazarene. She was born and raised in Florence, and enjoyed crocheting and sewing for her children. Her family was her life.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Staggs (Judy), daughters, Denise Stout (Johnny), Brenda Miller,brother Doug Ramsey (Tess) 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren all from Florence. Pallbearers will be Jason Staggs, Kevin Staggs, Johnny Stout, Jeremy Stout, Eddie Ramsey, Keith Simmons and Bill Morrison.
Sarah''s family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Alacare Hospice for their loving kindness shown to their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We would also like to thank the staff and nurses of the 6th floor of ECM hospital.
