Sarah Ann Parnell, 86, of Florence, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from El Reposo Nursing Facility. A graveside service for friends and family will be held Saturday, March 19, 2018, 10:00am, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Rev. Donnie McDaniel will be officiating. Elkins Funeral Home is serving the family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hilton Parnell; parents, George and Doris Bell; brothers, James Gordon Bell and Bill Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Richardson (Mark); son, Jim Parnell (Renee'); grandchildren, Heath Parnell (Laura), Barrett Parnell, Tyler Harrison (Jessica), Chris Harrison; great grandchildren, Joseph Parnell, Brylee Harrison, Lila and Harper Harrison; brother, Earl Lee Bell (Pam); sister, Cora Mae Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.

She retired from the Lauderdale County Commission and was a member at First United Methodist Church of Florence.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The Family would like to give special thanks to the caring staffs at Green Oaks Inn and El Reposo.  They loved her so much and she loved them back.
