Funeral for Shelia McBride Knop, 51, of Hartselle will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Berry and Allan Kent officiating. Burial will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home weather permitting.

Mrs. Knop, who died Friday, January 7, 2011, at Parkway Medical Center, was born May 21, 1959, in Decatur to John C. and Jimmie Ann McBride. She was a fighter to the very end and put her love for her family and friends above all else. She founded Shelia's Florist in Hartselle in 1989 and retired from Saginaw/Delphi after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Sheriff John C. McBride.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie "Snake" Knop; two children, Steven Boyles (Jamie) and Krystal Boyles (Bonnie); stepson, Jim Knop (Sabrina); six grandchildren, Kara Boyles, Brittney Boyles, Maddox Shannon, Peyton Knop, Devin Lowery, Ashlyn Lowery; mother, Jimmie Ann McBride; stepmother, Louann McBride Speegle (John); two sisters, Lisa McBride and Amy McBride Shelton (Roger); brother, Johnny McBride (Connie); two stepbrothers, Allan Kent (Karen) and Michael P. Kent; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Raper, John McBride III, Will Shelton, Steven Boyles, Doug Fuller, Michael E. Kent, Donnie Lowery and Stephen Smith. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Riggs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
