Funeral services for Shirley Woodard Sterling, 80 of Moulton will be Saturday July 7, 2018 at 2PM in the chapel of Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home with Ken Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Aldridge Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12PM until time of service.

Mrs. Sterling was born November 7, 1937 in Lawrence County, AL to Brownie Wilburn Woodard and Celestie Hyde Woodard. She passed away July 4 in Marshall County. She was a lifelong Church of Christ member, a staunch conservative, and a true patriot. She was influenced in part by her husband, whom was retired from the military, and his service. She expressed her love of country through charitable work with multiple veterans groups.

She was preceded in death by her parents Brownie Wilburn Woodard and Celestie Hyde Woodard; husband Brice Vernon Sterling; brothers Cecil Woodard, Melvin Woodard, Wendell Woodard, and Raymond Woodard; and sister Delois Woodard.

She is survived by her son Kevin Sterling; sisters Martha Hicks and husband Chester, and Elizabeth Wilson and husband Ronnie; special nephew Michael Woodard and wife Michelle and children Malik and Madilyn who cared for and supported until the end; and a host of nieces and nephews.
