Mr. Stanley Czermak, 86, of St Florian, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at St. Michael''s Catholic Church, with Father Edward Markley, OSB officiating, with burial to follow in St. Michael''s cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010, from 6-9 PM at the church. A rosary will be said at 8: 00 PM.
He was preceded in death by his wife Leokadia Cieslak Czermak, mother Agata Smola Czermak, father Marcin Czermak, sister Hermina Matthew, twin brother Romanic Czermak, maternal grandparents - Jozefa and Marii Smola, paternal grandparents, Jana and Katarzyny Czermak, granddaughter, Andi Thigpen, grandsons; Jeffrey Czermak and Justin Czermak.
He is survived by his children; Stasia Pitman (Larry), Fran Murphy (Howard), St. Florian, Joe Czermak (Heather), Korea, John Czermak (Angie), St. Florian, Louis Czermak (Vicky), Florence, Jimmy Czermak (Dawn), St. Florian, Janie Jernigan, Harvest, Agnes Moody (Allen), St. Florian, Judy Parasiliti (Carl), Florence; grandchildren: Amanda (Jerrod) Jackson, Angela (Marty) Rogers, Matthew Spalding, Hyacinth (Kevin) Irons, Golden Czermak, Jessie Czermak (Ben Petersen), Thia Czermak , Tala Czermak, Rance Czermak, Jamie (Ross) Roney, Maggie Czermak, Alana Moody, Audry Moody, Addam Moody, Carl Bruce Parasiliti, Jr., Jacob Parasiliti; Great grandchildren: Alyssa, Ally Grace, Alex, Abby, Michael, Eli, Sophia; siblings: Jozefa Czermak, Kazimierz Czermak, Czeslawa Setlak, all of Poland.
He immigrated to the United States with his wife and two daughters following World War II in May, 1949. Mr. Czermak was a member of St. Michael''s Catholic Church, St. Florian, AL. He enjoyed playing soccer and snow skiing as a teenager in Poland, as well as fishing and hunting here. He loved to travel and visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and returned to Poland in 1962, 2006 and 2008. Early in his career he was a carpenter before beginning his employment with Reynolds Alloys, where he retired in 1985. He designed and built three homes as his family increased in number.
Pallbearers will include: Golden Czermak, Matthew Spalding, Addam Moody, Carl Bruce Parasiliti, Jr., Jacob Parasiliti and Rance Czermak. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Eli Czermak, Alex Rogers and Michael Irons
