Stella Myra Jo Eddy Danley, age 92, born December 23, 1933, died Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home in Lexington with her children by her side.

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2026, 12-1 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the chapel with Caleb Danley officiating. Burial will be at Nebo Cemetery in Lexington. Elkins East Chapel is honored to assist the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Eugene Danley; parents, Lee M. and Lillie Howard Eddy; brother, Ishmael Eddy; sister, Twyla Laurence and infant brother.

Mrs. Danley is survived by her daughters, Sheila Curry (Tim) and Rhonda Cabler (Freddie); son, Carl “Butch” Danley (Mary); grandchildren, Kevin Steen (Rhonda), Corey Steen (Casie), Katie Ford (Dalton), Casey Robertson (Panda), Caleb Danley (Cassie), and Cara Bayley (Matt); great-grandchildren, Evie and Summer Steen, Cailee, Caden, and Cohen Danley, Elijah and Max Bayley.

She was a lifelong member of Nebo Presbyterian Church and active member of the Lexington Senior Center.

The family would like to thank Home Instead for the care and companionship over the last year and Aveanna Hospice for exceptional care over the last few weeks. Special thanks to Nurse Judy Storey and Nurse Reeda Bates for being there at the most difficult times.
