Mrs. Stella Faye "Punkin" Eckl, 65, of Florence, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009. Visitation will be from 6-9 Sunday evening at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 2 pm at the funeral home with Rodney Shewbart officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Eckl is preceded in death by her parents, Frankie Mae Morrison and Homer James Roberson; grandparents Irene and Bennie Lee Beavers, Nellie and Andy Roberson; and brother, James Earnest Roberson and wife, Joyce.
She is survived by her husband Paul Phillip Eckl, of Florence; daughters, Teresa Coats and husband, Ricky, of Courtland, Debbie Phillips and husband Jackie, of Killen, and Kimberly Copeland and husband, Dwayne, of Florence; grandchildren, Allan Tubbs, Dustin Tubbs, Christin Perry, B.J. Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Tyler Copeland, Ryan Copeland, and Dawson Copeland; Three great-grandchildren and three buttons; nephews, Michael Roberson and Mark Roberson; and nieces, Sheila Roberson Mardis and Kristie Roberson.
Pallbearers will be Mark Roberson, Allan Tubbs, Dustin Tubbs, Zachary Phillips, Tyler Copeland, and Ryan Copeland.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ICU nurses and to Dr. Webb at ECM Hospital.
