James Stephen Tate
Steve Tate, 62, of Lexington died Tuesday, September 04, 2012, at his residence.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 11 AM until 2 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM, with Bro. Stan Dean officiating. Burial will be at Bluewater Cemetery.
Steve served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dude Tate; sister, Cecilia Tate.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Wanda Tate; daughter Ashley Snipes and husband J.D.; mother Lavern Tate; brothers Mark Tate, Glenn Tate, and Kendall Tate; grandchildren Brantleigh, Briley, and Graham Snipes.
Pallbearers will be Denny Ritter, Larry Comer, Eric Tate, Hank Corum, John Hammell, and Jerry Comer.
