Funeral for Swansie Posey, 78, of Hartselle will be Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Chapel with Ronald Kilpatric officiating. Burial will be in Clardy Cemetery in Lawrence County. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Posey, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Winston County to Olan Clinton Kilpatric and Virgy McClellan Kilpatric. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for 10 years and sang in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hollis Christy; and one son, Clyde Christy. Survivors include one son, Keith Christy of Hartselle; one granddaughter, Maranda Shea Kent of Hartselle; and three brothers, J.H. Kilpatric, R.V. Kilpatric and L.B. Kilpatric.
