Funeral for Sydney Garnett Bolte, 69, of Scottsboro will be Saturday, January 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bolte passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Newton Garnett Sr. and Frances Louise Garnett; and one brother, James Newton Garnett Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Jimmie Lou (Lee) Sparks, Amanda Bailey and Clara (Charles) Cobb; one brother, Fred (Donna) Garnett; five grandchildren, Dustin Womack, Jacob Sparks, James Bailey, Beth Cobb and Beverly Cobb; and several nieces and nephews.
