Mrs. Talma Ruth Glover, of Florence. passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 after an extended illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Glover was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of CrossPoint Church of Christ and had retired as a secretary for Ryder Freight Lines.
The visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at CrossPoint Church of Christ with Frank Mills and Ken Delano officiating. The casket will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Glover is survived by her husband of 57 years Paul Glover; sons Joel Glover and wife Carolyn of Florence and Zach Glover and wife Sheila of Muscle Shoals; granddaughter Audra Glover Wallace and husband Josh of Florence; three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Emory Leo and Ruby Bratcher Underwood. A step-mother Olie Underwood, and her maternal grandmother Ida Bratcher who raised Ruth after the death of her mother at an early age.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bratcher, Roger Brannon, Shane Hanback, Casey Glover, John Glover and Mark Glover. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Broadfoot, Bobby Yarbrough, Mark Blackburn and Rodney Hubbard.
