Thelma Truedelle Clarke, beloved mother and grandmother, 83, of Florence, formerly of Laurens and Greenville, SC, entered in to the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 19, 2015 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 10 to 11a.m. on Wednesday at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Dr. John Brock officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 am on Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Greenville, SC.

Trudy was born October 24, 1931 to Joe Ree and Helen Garrett Leopard in Greenville, SC. She was employed as Personnel Secretary for Celanese Plastics for many years. She had a gift for and loved growing living things and was an avid sports fan. Her wonderful sense of humor brought joy to all.

Trudy was an active member at Highland Baptist Church and loved attending her Kingdom Seekers Sunday School class. She loved children. For many years she taught Primary Sunday School and ministered through the Good News Bible Club. Her grandchildren were her treasure.

Trudy is survived by her son, Stanley (Sherry) of Florence, AL; brother, Joe Ree Leopard (Pat) of Laurens, SC; grandchildren, Christina Lee Bragg (Todd) of Nashville, TN; Rachel Hannah Clemons (Jake) and Esther Sherah Clarke of Florence and two beloved great grandchildren, Elliott and Nicole Bragg.

Trudy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alvin Hearin Clarke; her parents; an infant son; son, Craig Allen Clarke and sisters Wilma Dohar and Ariel Cox.

Trudy had many friends, was greatly loved by her family and will be sorely missed.
