Memorial service for Thomas Gwein Hammond, 64, of Hartselle will be Friday, March 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Church of The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 3809 Spring Ave. S.W., Decatur, with the Rev. Ted Koelln and the Rev. Paul Summerford officiating. Mr. Hammond, who died Saturday, March 14, 2009, was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Decatur to Hazel T. and George Hammond. He was a graduate of Morgan County High School and attended The University of Alabama. His parents, and his daughter, Bethany Gail Hammond, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Angela D. Hammond and Lisa Lee; and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
