Mr. Thomas E. Nichols, Sr., 80 of Florence, AL,  passed away on January 31 at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Friday, February 3rd at the Elkins Chapel in Florence, AL. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM in the chapel with Rev. Bud Hale officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Larry Nichols; mother, Lela Morris Nichols; brothers, William, Clayborn, James, and Kenneth; and sisters, Irene and Birdie Lee.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Nichols, Jr (Terri), Steve Nichols (Tina), and Mark Nichols (Lisa); daughters, Donna Martin and Lisa Morris; grandchildren, Tom (Kalenne), Fallon (Matt), Stevie (Chase), Rick, Ladonna (Tommy), Ryan (Meridith), Serrah (J.P.), Matthew (Elizabeth), Christy (Tyler), Jami (Adam); 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Methel Shobe and Margie Pittman (Johnny); and brother Don Nichols (Elouise).

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tom Nichols III, Matthew Holland, Ricky Cochran, Tommy Pruitt, Chase Davis, and Tyler Crosswhite.
