Funeral for Thurman G. "Buddy" Vest, 89, of Decatur will be Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Harry Hames officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Vest, who died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, was born March 8, 1928 in Morgan County. He loved his flowers and tomatoes and was always creating something. His joy was fishing and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Mayfield Vest; daughter, Deborah Vest Braswell; sister, Betty Morris; three grandchildren, Marcus Braswell, Bridget Braswell Peeler and Jacqualine Freeman; four great-grandchildren, Tyler McNeill, Alisha Blasingame, Savannah McNeill Jones and Justin Sevy; and three great-grandchildren, Tydus and Samuel Blasingame and David Melson
