Timothy (Tim) Paul Walton, 53, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Reno, Nevada, after his battle with Multiple Myeloma. A celebration of Tim's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Rogersville Church of Christ, Rogersville, Alabama with Kyle Wadley, Jeff Walton, Glenn Walton, Michael South, Todd Walton and Alvin Alston officiating.
Tim, formally from North Alabama, had been living in Edmond, Oklahoma for the past six years. He was born in Florence, Alabama on May 8, 1962.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil R. Walton, Sr. and Ruth Gist Walton; brothers Larry, Gary, and Jerry Don Walton; sister, Mary Kathryn Walton; niece, Carol Ann Walton.
Tim is survived by his wife, Alison; children, Sarah and Paul Walton; sisters, Gayle (Riley) Walton South and Angie (Victor) Walton Bailey; brothers, Harold (Barbara) Walton, Earl (Midge) Walton, Cecil (Joyce) Walton, Jr., and Charles (Judy) Walton; father and mother-in-law, Dude & Shelby Weathers; sister-in-law, Anisa (Jeff) Thompson; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Tim married his high school sweetheart, Alison Weathers Walton, on May 25, 1985. They were blessed with 30 wonderful years of marriage. Tim was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, son, son-in-law, and uncle, as well as a dedicated elder at the Deer Creek Church of Christ in Edmond, OK. He modeled the love and service of Jesus to everyone he met. He battled cancer with the same faith, courage, and dignity that he demonstrated in his everyday life. Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on among his family, friends, church family, and especially his brave wife, Alison and two remarkable children, Sarah and Paul. We celebrate Tim''s life and victory in Christ.
A heartfelt thank you to all those who prayed, supported, visited, called, sent cards and encouraged the family during Tim''s illness. We continue to feel your love, and it helped more than you will ever know. A special thanks to Victor and Angie Bailey for spending seven weeks with Alison and the children in Reno, Nevada. Thank you to Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home for their help and support.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tim Walton Good Samaritan Fund at any branch of Bank Independent or mailed to Bank Independent, 110 Bank Street, Rogersville, Alabama 35652.
