Funeral mass for Tom Owens 79 of Decatur will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Wyman Vintson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at 2:00 PM.  Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Owens passed away on October 11, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He is preceded in death by his son Craig Owens.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Judi Owens of Decatur; Daughter Barbara Moore of Decatur; Son Steve Owens and wife Carrie of Brandon, Mississippi;  Five grandchildren Chloe Cox, Olivia Cox, Bryant Moore, Alexander Owens, and Luke Owens; Sister Janet Thompson and husband Jim; and Brothers Gerald Owens and wife Cindy, and Dennis Owens and wife Nancy.

The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur.
